Our Story
Big Betty Racing was founded in 2021 by Demolition Derby Driver Bekkah Doyle, with the intention to bring representation for female drivers in demolition and extreme motorsports.
Big Betty is easily identifiable by her signature neon pink and teal sparkle flames juxtaposed against matte black. The original Big Betty car was designed to be aggressive yet feminine with the hopes of creating a car that so many women and young girls could identify with. Big Betty’s custom one a kind design was lovingly created in collaboration with Bekkah’s childhood bestfriend, and has since been replicated for every event. The signature Big Betty livery has gone on to be a multi-time best appearing car winner.
The first Big Betty demolition vehicle debuted at the 2021 Ventura Raceway demolition derby, Ventura California is home base for both Bekkah and Big Betty. The dynamic duo has since gone on to compete all over Southern California quickly becoming a crowd favorite. As Big Betty’s success began to grown so did the Big Betty Racing family. In 2022 The Big Betty Racing Terror Twins were unveiled. With Bekkah behind the wheel of Big Betty she joined forces with driver #666 Keilani Mussetter, and her car the hell kitten. The pair earned their names as the Terror Twins for having matching inverse paint jobs that pay omage to the original Big Betty vehicle. Beween the two of them Big Betty Racing has accumlated more than 10 podiums.
The Big Betty Racing family still continues to grow to this day, when both drivers aren’t in their cars they are working to help first time and new drivers develop their confidence and skillsets. Additionally, Big Betty Racing has expanded to sponsor several divisions of dirt track racing and create a support network for fellow drivers.
What started as one woman’s dream has gone on to become a symbol of grit, determination, and empowerment to many.
